Stonecurrent Press is an independent press based in Cumbria. Established by writer Ian P. Loftus, it publishes books that examine ideas, history, memory and the effect of public events upon ordinary lives.
About the press
Stonecurrent Press publishes Poets, Politics & Philosophy, a series that returns to influential texts, tests their arguments against later evidence and asks one direct question: which ideas still survive today? The press is also developing The Cumberland Chronicles, a sequence of historical novels following generations of one ordinary Cumbrian family.
